Sony wishes around half its video games to be on PC and cellular by 2025

It expects PC game income to triple this year

Sony plans for kind of half of its game releases to be on PC or mobile by 2025, in line with a presentation given throughout the company’s annual investor day. A chart shown during the presentation indicates this would be a prime growth from its releases this year, when around 1 / 4 of the company’s releases will be on PC and mobile, with the the rest split among its PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
“By increasing to PC and mobile, and it must be said… also to live services, we have the possibility to move from a situation of being found in a very narrow phase of the general gaming software market, to being present pretty much everywhere,”
Ryan went on to say that making an investment in PC and cellular could lead to “large growth in the quantity of those who play our games, the number of people who enjoy our games, and the quantity of individuals who invest in our games.”
