Apple Watch Series 7 vs. Samsung Galaxy Watch4: Which smartwatch is right for me?

In less than a month, Apple and Samsung have updated their smartwatch lineup. Comparing Apple Watch Series 7 to Samsung Galaxy Watch4 helped us decide which one was worth the money.
Following the release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 last month, Apple has received a lot of attention with its latest wearable Apple Watch Series 7. Many have questions. Which smartwatch is better? There is no definitive answer until we get our hands on Series 7, which launches this fall. However, for now, it is possible to compare the current models of Apple and Samsung smartwatches based on specifications and features.

Apple Watch is only compatible with iOS, Apple's smartwatch operating system. Older Galaxy Watch models like Watch3 support iOS, but newer models only work on Android. In other words, if you have an iPhone, you cannot use the Galaxy Watch 4. And if you have an Android smartphone, you cannot use the Series 7. Both watches are only for Android or iOS phones, so it's easy to choose.

What we love about Samsung's current line of smartwatches is that the cheaper Watch4s have a different design, but are identical on the inside to the more expensive Classic. The Standard Watch4 has an aluminum case and looks simpler and simpler than the Watch4 Classic. The Watch4 Classic has a thinner and stronger stainless steel case and a physically rotatable control panel that makes it easier to navigate the user interface. Apart from differences in design, the Watch4 and Watch4 Classic share the same battery, connectivity, internal memory, operating system, processor, sensors, and user interface. Of the two, Watch4 ultimately won the Best Editing award.
